Fiorentina defender Igor Julio gave an interview to the Viola media. He spoke about several topics including the ideal method to stop powerful strikers like Victor Osimhen or Dusan Vlahovic.
“In Europe, there are very high level strikers who are physically very strong. For a defender, being physically strong is very useful. It helps me. I don’t work in the gym to be physically strong, but because it helps me to play against stronger strikers. For me, it is an advantage. For example, in the 3-2 victory in Napoli last year against Osimhen, or against Vlahovic, these are challenges where my physical work helped me a lot,” said the Brazilian.
