Zlatan Ibrahimovic was emotional after his return to action for AC Milan and suggested he might stay with the team for “a few more years”.

The 41-year-old Swedish striker played the final 16 minutes of the Rossoneri’s 2-0 win over Atalanta. After winning the Scudetto with AC Milan, Ibrahimovic underwent knee surgery and was sidelined for more than eight months, but refused to rule out the possibility of retirement. Speaking to Sport Mediaset, Ibrahimovic spoke of his emotions after returning to the field with AC Milan. “There are many emotions, it has been a year and two months since I could not play soccer as I wanted, I was not well and I could not do what I liked. First of all, I suffered a lot, both from what happened with Mino Raiola and from my physical condition. It was not easy, then we won the Scudetto which gave me energy but it was not easy. Now, being on the field is very pleasant. Today I was a little bit nervous, but I have a lot of confidence in myself. If I am like I am today, I will continue to play for a few more years, not just next year,” said the Swedish striker.
