Piotr Zielinski has reportedly agreed to the terms of a new contract with Napoli, which will see his salary drop significantly.
The 29-year-old Polish midfielder has played a key role in Luciano Spalletti’s team’s latest system, helping them end their 33-year wait for the Scudetto. Zielinski joined Napoli this summer with just one year on his contract, and had been linked with both Lazio and Saudi clubs. La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Zielinski has now agreed to sign a new contract with Napoli, which will see his salary reduced from the current €4.5 million net to just over €2.5 million net per season. The Polish midfielder has made 329 appearances in all competitions for Napoli since joining in August 2016, scoring 47 goals and providing 44 assists.
