Yann Sommer has passed his medical examination with Inter and is now ready to finalize his transfer from Bayern Munich.
The 34-year-old Swiss international quickly became the Nerazzurri’s main target to fill the vacant goalkeeping role following the departures of Samir Handanovic and Andre Onana last month. As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Sommer completed his medical examinations with Inter at the Humanitas clinic this morning and has now gone to CONI headquarters to obtain the documents confirming his sporting eligibility and registration. This afternoon, Sommer will sign his two-year contract with the Nerazzurri, who paid €6 million to Bayern Munich after activating his release clause. Inter are also trying to recruit a new centre-forward this month, and are reportedly preparing to submit a new offer to Arsenal for Folarin Balogun.
