English soccer legend Alan Shearer has commented on the arrival of Sandro Tonali in the Newcastle squad. With the team facing AC Milan in their Champions League opener, he believes the Italian can bring added value to the Magpies midfield.
“I think his (Sandro Tonali’s) debut, with a goal and the man-of-the-match award, was fantastic and helped the fans understand who he is as a player. They gave him a proper welcome, which I’m sure will help him a lot. He probably didn’t play as well in the following games, but I’m convinced that Newcastle’s midfield can improve considerably with him,” Alan Shearer told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
