Napoli star Victor Osimhen trained alone over Easter in the hope of recovering for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against AC Milan, but his return remains uncertain.
Serie A’s top scorer posted a photo on Sunday of Castel Volturno, showing himself on the pitch with his training boots on. The striker also wrote: “GOD is the greatest.” His Napoli team travels to Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Wednesday and Osimhen remains doubtful for the match.
Il Mattino reported on Sunday that Osimhen would not recover in time for the European opener against the Rossoneri at the San Siro on Wednesday, while Gazzetta claimed that “optimism is growing” although it is too early to predict whether the striker would be available against AC Milan. Osimhen has scored 25 goals in 29 games this season, including four in five Champions League games.
