Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri tells journalists to “be patient” regarding his future at Allianz Stadium and insists Salernitana deserve “respect”.

The Italian tactician spoke at a press conference on Saturday, on the eve of a key Serie A match against Salernitana. The Granata have already been relegated, while a win would allow the Bianconeri to qualify mathematically for the Champions League.
“We’re in good shape, the important thing is to win tomorrow and prepare well for the final against Atalanta. The most important match is always the one to come. We can’t ignore Salernitana, that would be disrespectful. Matches have to be won on the pitch; if you don’t win, you don’t get points. We need to reach the Champions League, and that won’t be easy. We’ll need attention and respect for Salernitana. They have fast attacking players, and they played well against Atalanta in the last away match. They have players who want to emerge. They’ve had some bad luck this season, but they’ll want to end a negative campaign with a win in Turin, so we need to be concrete. I’ll choose the best schedule tomorrow. Once we’ve reached the Champions League, we’ll be thinking about Atalanta. The best players will play. Chiesa and Yildiz are not fully fit. I’ll assess their condition, then decide on the line-up. You have to be patient for a bit more. Patience is the virtue of the strong. We’re at the end of the season. Now we’re going to concentrate on tomorrow’s game, and then on Atalanta,” he declared.
