Alessandro Bastoni underlines Inter Milan’s “maturity” after their Champions League victory over RB Salzburg.
For the third time in as many seasons under Simone Inzaghi, the Nerazzurri have qualified for at least the last 16. They secured qualification with last night’s 1-0 win over RB Salzburg. “We’re happy because Salzburg are a good team, we knew their potential and stood up well to their physicality. It was another step in our progress as a team. That final in Istanbul certainly left its mark. We realized that if we stick together, we can have our say against any opponent. Those of us who are veterans here have also succeeded in teaching the newcomers what it means to play for Inter. We are mature and we want to succeed. This qualification will give us a feeling of security, but that’s not enough, because we want first place,” Bastoni told Sky Sport Italia.
