“We’re going to impose our way of playing”, Jorginho

Jorginho reflected on Italy’s historic victory at Euro 2020, and his thirst to replicate that glory at the next tournament in Germany.

“I still believe in what I do. I know my worth. I just needed a chance. When you play in this type of tournament, there is always a certain amount of pressure. We come to this tournament calmly, knowing what we have to do and what we can do. I think that’s the most important thing. Yes, it’s a tough group with some great teams. We’ll play hard because we’re a great team too. I think it will be a great spectacle for those who love soccer. It’s a group of guys who would like to grow, learn and improve every day. Everyone is available. I think that’s very important. We always try to impose our game, to keep the ball because the coach asks us to. It’s up to us to put on the pitch what the coach asks of us, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do. We’ll try to impose our way of playing, but obviously the dynamic is a little different because of the characteristics we have. We’ll see how we approach the games. The important thing is to stick together and do our best to avoid regrets later on. If you give everything, you can go out with your head held high, that’s what is asked of us all, so we’ll see where we can go,” said the Italian international via TMW.
