It’s the international break. Italy is preparing for two Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Northern Macedonia and Ukraine. Ahead of the first match, Manuel Locatelli joined Luciano Spalletti for a pre-match press conference. The Juventus midfielder spoke of his team-mates’feelings at the prospect of working under the Tuscan coach.
“Coming back here (to the national team, editor’s note…) is always an honor, a joy. We all have this responsibility. There’s a new coach (Luciano Spalletti, editor’s note) and we all want to get to know him, and he needs to get to know us too. There’s energy and enthusiasm, we’re all very excited,” the midfielder told reporters.
