Luciano Spalletti spoke to the press after Italy’s last training session before the match against England. The Tuscan coach admitted that going to Wembley is the start of a dream for him.
“I’m very happy because I’m going to play a match in a stadium that is the start of my dream, and then I’ll be able to get there. We often look for the definition of an international footballer, we see the possibility of qualification, without thinking about what comes next. A strong footballer doesn’t think about the last day, but about tomorrow’s match against a strong opponent in his stadium. These are comfort matches. We have to be happy to go beyond the limits, trying not to think about what’s between us and the opponent. We’ll see if we have a strong personality,” said Spalletti.
