Benjamin Pavard spoke of the “great energy” in Inter’s dressing room and how it felt to win the World Cup in 2018.
The 27-year-old Frenchman was one of the Nerazzurri’s most high-profile recruits this summer, arriving from Bayern Munich in a deal worth around €30 million. He signed a five-year contract, tying him to the club until June 2028. Speaking in an interview with DAZN via TMW , Pavard began by talking about his time at Inter and his happiness at the club. “I had talked about it with friends, I love Italian music and I was listening to “Gigi l’Amoroso”. I felt like an Inter fan, and had wanted to be one for a long time. I’m very happy to be part of a club with great fans. We hope to do good things together. There’s a great energy in the dressing room, and I’m sure we’ll do great things. Nobody thought I would play in a World Cup, not even myself. It all happened so quickly, I thought I wouldn’t even play a match. Instead, I got the chance to play against Argentina and I scored. I fulfilled a childhood dream by winning the World Cup. I’m a hard-working person who has achieved his goals through hard work. I’ve earned it, but there’s still a long way to go,” declared the French international.
