Bologna coach Thiago Motta explains why Marko Arnautovic has recovered, but will not play against Juventus, while he insists that his future will be discussed “at the right time”.
Juve are struggling with a Coppa Italia semi-final elimination against Inter and three consecutive Serie A defeats, giving Bologna a huge opportunity to get a big result this weekend. Roberto Soriano and Nicola Sansone are absent from the team, but so is Arnautovic, who is still their top scorer this season despite a long injury absence. “Arnautovic is medically healed, but now he has to find his physical form, because let’s not forget that the last time he played a full game was on January 4. It is different for Cambiaso, who is fit and can play. We will face Juventus with a lot of determination and will try to give everything. There is no urgency to sit down and discuss the best solutions for everyone. At the moment, my future is the next game with Juventus,” said Thiago Motta at his press conference.
The 40-year-old tactician took office in September 2022 and in Serie A he has overseen 11 wins, five draws and nine defeats to direct them to the comfort of the mid-table.
