La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Rafael Leao will remain out of action for at least 20 days, making it unlikely that he will be available for the key Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund after the international break.
The Portuguese star was substituted in the 2-2 draw with Lecce on Saturday, and tests revealed a first-degree injury to his right biceps femoris. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this means that Leao will be out of action for at least 20 days. As a result, it is virtually impossible to see Leao at AC Milan’s next home match against Fiorentina on September 25, and it is highly unlikely that the 24-year-old will be available for the Champions League home match against Borussia Dortmund three days later. Leao has scored four goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this season, also providing four assists.
