Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Moise Kean will be out for a few weeks with a shin problem.

The 23-year-old Italian striker has played regularly for Turin this season, clocking up 472 minutes of action in 12 appearances. Although he hasn’t directly contributed to a goal, Allegri is satisfied with the forward’s work in recent months. Juventus are still two points behind league leaders Inter and will be hoping to close the gap in the coming weeks, aware that their lack of European competition could prove a key advantage in the second half of the season. As confirmed at Allegri’s press conference today, Kean will be unavailable for three to four weeks due to a shin problem, which he has been carefully managing with Juventus’s medical department in recent weeks. Should the 23-year-old remain absent for a month, he would miss the Bianconeri’s forthcoming matches against Genoa, Frosinone, Roma, Salernitana and Sassuolo. He could return for the clash with Lecce on January 21.
