Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t believe the upcoming Derby d’Italia will be a “decisive turning point” in the title race with Inter, but admitted it would be an important evening for both clubs. The Bianconeri are one point behind their rivals ahead of Sunday evening’s derby at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, having missed the chance to take first place in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Empoli. The Nerazzurri also have a game in hand, which complicates matters.

Speaking at a press conference via TMW, Allegri discussed his planned team for the derby. “We are all going to go, we have Chiesa and Rabiot back, then we have the two new players. Djal√≤ is further away, Alcaraz will do his first training session today, but we’ll all be going to Milan. Tomorrow will be a magnificent match, we know Inter’s strong points, we’re very good. It’s a clash, and we still need to score a lot of points to reach our goal, which is the Champions League. Tomorrow is a good match, but the points we score will be decisive between now and the end of the season. We have great respect for Inter because they are the strongest team in the league and the Scudetto favourites. We must not allow ourselves to be distracted by outside chatter. We have to play the games, do our best and try to get results,” said the Old Lady coach.
