Il Mattino reports that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was furious with Davide Massa after a 3-0 defeat to Inter and called the heads of the FIGC and AIA to complain about the referee’s decisions. The Partenopei suffered a 3-0 defeat at the Stadio Maradona on Sunday but felt affected by the referee’s decisions.

According to Il Mattino, President De Laurentiis was so furious that he called the heads of the FIGC and AIA to complain about Massa’s decisions after the match. The report claims that De Laurentiis decided not to send coach Walter Mazzarr in front of the cameras to comment on the match after the final whistle in order to avoid a potentially lengthy ban for the newly-appointed tactician. Il Mattino reports that Mazzarri was even more frustrated than De Laurentiis and tried to get Massa and fourth referee Antonio Rapuano to explain inside the Stadio Maradona tunnel. According to the Neapolitan newspaper, Massa will not be suspended by the AIA, but will not referee any more Napoli matches this season. “We feel penalized. There were obvious mistakes. Massa had a bad night and we were affected by his decisions,” said De Laurentiis, according to Il Mattino.
