Benfica Lisbon lost 0-2 at home to Inter in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. At the end of the match, Roger Schmidt, the Lisbon club coach, is still hopeful. He thinks that his club could turn the tables in Milan in the second leg.
“It’s been a tough game. I think both teams had their chances, unfortunately we didn’t take advantage of ours. We stayed in the game. The players gave everything. We created a good situation but conceded the second goal from the penalty spot. That’s the story of the game. Do I believe in a victory in Milan? Of course,” said the German coach to Eleven at the end of the match.
