Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic is ready to sign a new long-term contract and his agent will meet with the club in the coming weeks, reports the detail.
The 24-year-old Serbian striker has been in fine form in recent weeks, scoring nine goals in his last seven league games, continuing his fine form despite the team’s recent slump in results. He is now looking to become a striker worth the 80 million euros he paid two years ago. Vlahovic has a rising wage structure, which means his salary will increase to 12 million euros net per season from July. Juventus are still in a delicate financial situation and are striving to build a sustainable project, which makes the striker’s salary an obvious issue. Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Vlahovic is set to sign a further two-year contract extension, extending his deal until June 2028 and spreading the costs of his salary and depreciation over the next four years. The Serbian striker has already informed his agent Darko Ristic to sign a new contract with the Old Lady, and initial talks with sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli have been positive. The two parties are due to meet in late spring to finalize the details of an agreement.
