In Turin, the debate over the last few days has been whether Romelu Lukaku would be a better alternative to Dusan Vlahovic. The club’s old hands are getting involved and giving their opinions. This is the case of Claudio Gentile, who, like most of the players who have passed through the Old Lady, is asking for more time to allow the Serbian striker to show his potential.
“I’m convinced that Vlahovic only showed 40% of his potential at Juventus. He scored some incredible goals at Fiorentina and the Bianconeri spent a lot to bring him to Turin. Now, I would protect the investment made in January 2022. Don’t forget that Dusan is only 23, while Lukaku is 30… then, of course, the managers and Allegri will decide,” Claudio Gentille told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
