Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Inter ahead of a possible free transfer to the Stadio Meazza next summer.
The Polish international’s contract at the Stadio Maradona expires in June 2024, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are the most likely destination for him next season. The report claims that Inter and Zielinski have reached a verbal agreement on a contract worth 4.5 million euros a year until June 2027. This is the only offer on the table for Zielinski at present, as no European club has expressed an interest. The pink newspaper believes that Zielinski would effectively replace Davy Klaassen in Simone Inzaghi’s team. The Dutchman sealed a transfer on deadline day from Ajax to Inter last summer. However, he hasn’t gained much playing time. The 30-year-old could end up leaving the club once his contract expires at the end of the season, making room for the Napoli star.
