It is becoming increasingly clear that this will become a bidding war between two Premier League giants for Riccardo Calafiori.

The defender was one of the few impressive Italian players at EURO 2024. Juve have been following him for many months. However, it’s unlikely that he will join Juve. Director Giovanni Sartori confirmed this when speaking to the media this week. Arsenal have shown constant interest in the 22-year-old, although now La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and others are claiming that Chelsea are pushing just as hard. There are even suggestions that Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United could be in the running. Bologna signed Calafiori last year from FC Basel for just 4 million euros, but on condition that they owe the Swiss club 40% of the profit from the sale fee. With this in mind and his recent form, the Rossoblu want at least 50 million euros to part with the versatile defender, who can play in the center, as a left-back or even in a more advanced role. According to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are practically there already, with a proposal worth 47 million euros.
