Renato Sanches is edging ever closer to an early exit from Roma during the winter mercato. In addition to Besiktas, Olympiakos have made enquiries about the Portuguese midfielder.
The former Benfica and Bayern Munich midfielder joined Roma on loan with a conditional obligation to buy during the summer mercato, but has so far accumulated just 227 minutes of competitive action halfway through the 2023-24 season. According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Besiktas and Olympiakos are interested in Renato Sanches. Besiktas, who have just appointed Fernando Santos to their bench, with whom Renato Sanches was crowned European champion in 2016, could facilitate discussions. A situation that could prompt PSG and AS Roma to terminate Renato Sanches’s loan so that he can find a new club in the second half of the season.
