AC Milan has reportedly reached an agreement to extend the contract of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada amid interest from a host of different clubs.
Calciomercato.com reports that the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with their head scout whose current contract is due to expire in July. His extension has been considered a top priority by the Milanese hierarchy. The Frenchman is considered a key part of the infrastructure of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza by RedBird Capital and its founding partner, Gerry Cardinale. Moncada, who previously held the position of chief scout at Monaco, was recently credited with bringing the impressive Malick Thiaw to AC Milan from Schalke this summer. Now, the deal is just one step away from being officially signed, pending Moncada’s signature, which should be received in the near future.
