Juventus are ready for Lille central defender Tiago Djalo to arrive in Turin to undergo medical examinations before finalizing his transfer.
The 23-year-old Portuguese defender joins the Bianconeri on a contract worth 3.5 million euros, with 3.5 million euros in bonuses plus a future 10% resale clause. His contract with Lille expires at the end of the season, allowing the Old Lady to conclude a low-cost deal. Djalo hasn’t played since early April, when he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, but is expected to return in the coming weeks to add a little more cover to Juventus’s defense. As Gianluca Di Marzio reports, Djalo is expected to arrive in Turin on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, allowing him to undergo his medicals before signing a four-year contract with Juventus. The Portuguese defender briefly spent six months of his career in Italy, joining Milan’s Primavera team in January 2019 for €1 million from Sporting before leaving for Lille that summer for around €4 million.
