AC Milan are set to lose three key players during the summer mercato. They are Olivier Giroud, Simon Kjaer and Théo Hernandez.
Olivier Giroud has announced his departure from AC Milan at the end of the season. The French center-forward is set to move to MLS to prepare for his retirement from soccer. While Giroud’s departure has been confirmed, Simon Kjaer’s departure is less certain. However, the latter is closer to a departure than an extension. The Dane no longer fits into his coach’s plans. As his contract draws to a close, an extension is not on the agenda. If nothing is done, he is likely to leave the club after the Euro. The last player in line to leave is Théo Hernandez. Bayern Munich have made the French full-back their priority. The club is preparing to pay 80 million euros for his services next summer.
