On the sidelines of the Madonnina derby, Stefano Pioli appeared at a press conference today. The Rossoneri coach was asked a number of questions, including whether Olivier Giroud was the new “Zlatan”. He replied that there was only one Zlatan.
“Well, I always answer the same way, there’s only one Zlatan. It’s the team that has grown, that has worked in a certain way and it’s clear that there are important players in terms of presence and Giroud is one of them. There are others who have matured. I’m not curious to see how we’ll approach the derby. I was curious before Bologna, not now. Now I’m convinced of how we want to approach the match and how we’ve prepared for it. We know what we can offer and what they can offer,” he told the press conference.
