Former Roma player and current coach Massimo Bonanni has spoken out on the possible sacking of Stefano Pioli at AC Milan. He revealed that there was no need to sack him if there was no serious candidate.

“The club doesn’t intervene because there isn’t a strong candidate. Conte doesn’t want to enter the race and they hope to go all the way with Pioli, then we’ll start a new cycle. But this situation leads nowhere. At every stage, the coach is always called into question, which makes it difficult to work. It’s hard not to feel the support of the club and the fans. If there isn’t a strong bid, for me it’s pointless to change, so in June the roads will part, but not in vain”, Massimo Bonanni told radio station Tutto Mercato Web.
