Danilo D’Ambrosio argues that Inter is rarely protected: “There is always a reason to attack the team, the club and the coach.”

The Nerazzurri won 3-0 at Empoli on Sunday. In addition, they have qualified for the Champions League semi-finals but have lost 11 of 31 games in Serie A, so they haven’t yet guaranteed their Champions League places for next season. “I must say that Inter is not always protected enough, in every respect. I have been here for 10 years and I have seen all sorts of things. There are always reasons to attack the club, the team and the coach. Those who arrived recently have already understood how the atmosphere is here, you have to keep your head down and work hard,” D’Ambrosio told 90 Minuto.

After Sunday’s win against Empoli, Inter are sixth, two points behind AC Milan and Roma fourth. Jose Mourinho’s team has one game less when they play Monday at Atalanta. The Nerazzurri will return to the pitch on Wednesday in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals against Juventus at the San Siro. The first leg in Turin ended in a 1-1 draw.
