Romelu Lukaku, Roma’s only scorer in the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina on Matchday 15 of Serie A, was subsequently shown the red card. The disciplinary committee examined his case and handed down its verdict today.
Responsible for a serious foul on an opponent in the 87th minute of the Roma – Fiorentina match, Romelu Lukaku has now been sentenced. The disciplinary committee has decided to ban the Belgian for a single match. José Mourinho will therefore have to do without the former Manchester United player for his trip to Bologna on December 17. Like the centre-forward, several other players have also been suspended. These include team-mate Nicola Zalewski and others such as AC Milan’s Davide Calabria.
