José Mourinho, interviewed by the Federal Prosecutor after his comments to the Sassuolo – Roma referee, was keen to clarify his position. The Special One admitted that he had not offended anyone with his words. He put the remarks in context, and hopes that sporting justice will settle the matter in a fair manner.

“I asked to be heard so that I could tell the prosecutor the truth. The truth is that I didn’t offend anyone. I never even questioned the quality of the referee. I just used that expression which I also often refer to, for work and for social life. After the match, I also said that the referee had shown his ability and that he had managed the match well. So for me there’s no problem: from sporting justice I expect… justice,” José Mourinho told Corriere Dello Sport.
