It’s back-to-school time at AC Milan. The team began pre-season training today in preparation for the new financial year. Before heading off to the Milanello training center, Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli spoke about a number of topics, including the departure of Maldini and Massara, and the club’s mercato. He talked about how negotiations are going and what new things are planned for this year.
“Even before that, they (the AC Milan directors, editor’s note…) would ask me which players were needed, but after that it wasn’t me who did the negotiations and it wasn’t me who signed the contracts. I’ve always been involved in building the team. I have a lot of respect for the team, but I think the time has come to make a change,” said Stefano Pioli.
