Roberto Mancini has said that Italy’s success in the Nations League is an “excellent thing”, insisting that the national team is “evolving”.
“This is the second time we’ve reached the Nations League finals and I think that’s already an excellent thing. We arrived here with a group of young players and we were in a very difficult group, so it’s a good thing. Games against Spain are always difficult because they’re full of great players and quality. They have a lot, they can change things easily, but they always keep the same system and the same quality of play,” Mancini told the media at his pre-match press conference. Italy will kick off against Spain at De Grolsch Veste in the Dutch town of Enschede this evening at 18:45 GMT.
