France will face the Netherlands and Ireland during the next international break. For this, Didier Deschamps will announce the list of players called for these games this Thursday afternoon. Four AC Milan players could be on the list of the French coach.
According to Footmercato.net, Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez, Pierre Kalulu and Olivier Giroud could join the French team for the upcoming international matches. The goalkeeper Mike Maignan, is considered a potential candidate to replace Hugo Lloris as a starter. Theo Hernandez, the left-back, has been impressive with AC Milan this season and is also likely to make the list. Pierre Kalulu, who plays as a central defender for AC Milan, could be called upon as a backup due to injuries to Presnel Kimpembe and Christopher Nkunku.
Finally, Olivier Giroud, who joined AC Milan from Chelsea, will have to be available as usual in attack for the coach of the French team. The addition of the Milan players to the French squad considerably strengthens Deschamps’ squad for the upcoming international matches. With a long list of players missing due to injury, this could be the difference for the French team as they prepare to face tough opponents in March.
