The goalkeeper Mike Maignan, is considered a potential candidate to replace Hugo Lloris as a starter. Theo Hernandez, the left-back, has been impressive with AC Milan this season and is also likely to make the list. Pierre Kalulu, who plays as a central defender for AC Milan, could be called upon as a backup due to injuries to Presnel Kimpembe and Christopher Nkunku.

Finally, Olivier Giroud, who joined AC Milan from Chelsea, will have to be available as usual in attack for the coach of the French team.
