José Mourinho’s contract with Roma expires in the summer of 2024. At present, no decision has been taken regarding his future. But the Portuguese coach is sure of one thing: he wants to stay at the club. He made this clear at the pre-Roma – Napoli press conference for Serie A matchday 17.
“I’ve always been direct and honest, right from the start. When I signed for AS Roma, I had a fantastic offer, which I turned down. In December, during the season when we won the Europa League Conference, I had the opportunity to go to Portugal,” said José Mourinho, before continuing. “I informed the management and I stayed. After Budapest, I informed the owners of the possibility of going to Saudi Arabia, and I decided to reject it. What’s next? I’d like to stay and fight. That’s my position, there’s no doubt about it. Let’s not talk about it any further,” he concluded.
