Tottenham-bound Destiny Udogie has expressed his gratitude to Udinese for giving him a “great opportunity” to show what he can do, before claiming he’s “ready for the Premier League” in an interview .
The 19-year-old Italian footballer was snapped up by Tottenham in August during last summer’s mercato, before being immediately sent back on loan to continue his development in Italy. In a brief statement published on the club’s website, Edogie wrote: “I have so much to thank the club for investing and believing in me over these two seasons. I can’t say anything other than thank you. I’ve always believed in my own qualities, I just wanted to express them and Udinese gave me this great opportunity. I’m ready for the future and for the Premier League.” Edogie and his Udinese team-mates finished the season in 12th place in Serie A, but were unable to end the campaign on a winning note, falling to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus .
