Ruben Loftus-Cheek joined AC Milan this summer from Chelsea for €16 million. He quickly established himself in the Rossoneri’s starting 11. He has the confidence of his coach Stefano Pioli, but the latter demands much more from him on the pitch. In a recent media interview, he revealed the expectations placed in him by his coach.
“He (Stefano Pioli, editor’s note…) wants me to be physically dominant in midfield. I think one of my characteristics is the ability to beat a lot of players with strength, speed and power. That’s something I rely on a lot, it’s my contribution as a player. The more I count on it and the more I can show it on the pitch, the more dominant I can be to help the team,” the England midfielder told DAZN.
