Looking for defensive reinforcements for the coming season, AC Milan had identified Wilfried Singo as a player to recruit. However, the latest news is that the club will not be negotiating any further, as Stefano Pioli does not want him.
A Torino player, Wilfried Singo was close to joining AC Milan. The player was also in Juventus’s sights, but it was the Rossoneri who showed the greatest interest. However, according to Tuttosport, the Lombardy club will not be taking any further steps to recruit the Ivorian right-back. The reason for this is that Stefano Pioli, the club’s coach, has reportedly vetoed the move. The Italian revealed that Pioli’s profile was not what he wanted, especially as Pioli wanted to play in a four-man defense rather than a three-man one. This closes the door on one possibility.
