Stefano Pioli said that AC Milan want to avoid Inter or Napoli in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
“Italian soccer is growing. I hope we don’t face Serie A clubs in the quarterfinals. AC Milan hasn’t played in the Champions League for years and we had a harder time last season. We have more experience now, we face these challenges with the right spirit,” said the Rossoneri coach, quoted by Milannews. Unlike the Rossoneri, Inter and Napoli have not yet qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The Nerazzurri won the first leg at San Siro against Porto 1-0, while Napoli beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 away. The two Serie A giants will play the second leg next week.
