Napoli joined AC Milan and Inter in the Champions League quarterfinals, as for the first time since 2005-06 there are three Italians in the last eight, more than any other country this season.
There are three Italian teams, two English, one Spanish, one German and one Portuguese. In addition to all this, there are four Italian coaches in the last eight, Luciano Spalletti, Stefano Pioli ,Simone Inzaghi and Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid. The draw for the quarterfinals, semifinals and final will take place on Friday, March 17. Unlike the round of 16, we could see an all-Italian derby, or a confrontation between clubs that have already faced each other in the group stage, like Bayern Munich and Inter or Chelsea and AC Milan.
