Inter director Beppe Marotta is reportedly interested in making a move for Adrien Rabiot once his contract with Juventus expires this summer.
The two rivals are preparing for their most important Derby d’Italia clash in recent years, with just one point separating the two teams at the top of the Serie A standings. Rabiot has entered the final six months of his contract with Juventus, having signed a one-year deal in the final days of June last year, and has yet to enter into negotiations with the club for a possible contract extension. Our Tuttosport colleagues detail how Inter director Marotta is intrigued by the idea of recruiting Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, especially as the club could sell star midfielder Nicolo Barella at the end of the season. There are also suggestions that the Nerazzurri CEO is using his interest in the Frenchman to cause tension and uncertainty ahead of the upcoming Derby d’Italia. Meanwhile, Rabiot’s mother and agent VĂ©ronique is still waiting to hear about a new deal with Juventus. If he were to leave the Old Lady this summer, he would be more interested in a foreign team than another Italian one.
