What was supposed to be a simple training session today for Fiorentina, quickly turned into a disaster. During the break, Vincenzo Italiano organized a training match in front of a few hundred fans. But Salvatore Sirigu, the Fiorentina goalkeeper, was seriously injured and evacuated by ambulance.
Fiorentina and Seravezza faced each other today at the Franchi Stadium in Florence. This, in the context of a simple friendly match. But a drama happened quickly. Sirigu collapsed on the ground alone while trying to avoid a corner. The doctors arrived immediately to help him. The stretcher also entered the field and the player left the stadium in an ambulance that took him to the Palais des Sports for the first controls. While waiting for the first results of the examination, everything seems to indicate a rupture of the Achilles heel.
