Milan legend Ruud Gullit insists that Napoli is the favorite to win the Champions League.
The former Dutch international spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of the Champions League clash between Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt. The Partenopei are the leaders of Serie A with a 15-point lead over second-placed Inter. They have won 20 of their 23 league games, drawing two and losing one. “I have said before that Napoli are the favorites to win the Champions League and I haven’t changed my mind. They play a brand of soccer that everyone wants to see. Fast and vertical. The Premier League clubs are strong and so are Bayern and Real Madrid, but Napoli is totally different from the others,” said Gullit. Gullit, 60, scored 56 goals in 171 appearances for AC Milan between 1987 and 1994, winning three Serie A titles and the Champions League twice. He also won the Ballon d’Or in 1987 at the Stadio Meazza.
