Rudi Garcia’s days at Napoli are numbered. The 0-1 defeat by Empoli in Serie A was the final straw. The club’s staff are seriously considering the possibility of sacking the Frenchman. A number of names have been mentioned as possible replacements.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Napoli are on the verge of firing Rudi Garcia. The French coach does not seem to be up to the task entrusted to him. In mid-week, the draw with Union Berlin in the Champions League angered president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who went to the coaching staff to demand an explanation. The defeat to Empoli has made matters worse. Garcia should be fired. Two names are currently being mooted as possible replacements. The first is Fabio Cannavaro. The 2006 world champion has been available since leaving Benevento. Secondly, Igor Tudor, formerly of Marseille, is an emerging name.
