Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar spoke to Giallorossi fans about his aspirations. He spoke about his relationship with José Mourinho, his coach, and the process leading up to his arrival in the Italian capital.
“I want to make the fans proud of me and the team. To please them, we have to fight for the shirt and put on a show on the pitch, trying to win every game. The ambition is there, but every commitment must be lived with humility. Mourinho has been fundamental: the opportunity to be coached by a phenomenon is not to be missed. And Tiago Pinto did his bit too, because he showed that he really wanted me. But let me be honest to the end: when you work in Rome, it’s easier to convince someone to join you. Rome is the real attraction,” Houssem Aouar told Corriere Dello Sport.
