Roma has qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League, after a very difficult match against Feyenoord. A game in which the Giallorossi lost Chris Smalling at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
Chris Smalling was hit in the return match between Feyenoord and Roma, won by the Italians 4-1. As the Roman club faces Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-final, it is clear that Jose Mourinho is putting together a team without his best defensive asset, none other than Smalling. The former Manchester United player is suffering from a muscle injury and will need time to return to competition. It is not known how long he will be out of action, but it is highly unlikely that he will be fit to play by May 11 for the first leg against the Germans.
