Romelu Lukaku arrived at Roma last summer on loan as a replacement for Tammy Abraham. Enough to prompt the Giallorossi’s directors to consider keeping him permanently. To do so, they would have to sell, and the English striker could be the one to sacrifice.

Tammy Abraham is injured for the time being, but is still very popular on the transfer market. Chelsea are keeping an eye on him, while Aston Villa have recently expressed a strong desire for him. His profile appeals to Unay Emery, who could make him a priority for the next mercato. Roma could afford to sell him to finance the purchase of Romelu Lukaku. According to Corriere Della Sera, the Italians hope to raise at least €40 million. This would help them acquire Big Rom. For the time being, however, no deal has yet been struck.
