While Roma wait to officially complete the signing of former Manchester City left-back Angelino from RB Leipzig, sporting director Tiago Pinto is also hoping to conclude a deal with Empoli for recent striker Tommaso Baldanzi.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to loan Angelino to the Stadio Olimpico with an option to buy for a reported €5 million. The Giallorossi are now waiting for the necessary documents to be signed, which will also officially end Angelino’s current loan with Galatasaray. However, it doesn’t stop there for Roma. Baldanzi has also been linked with a move to the capital since the appointment of Daniele De Rossi as head coach. Tiago Pinto is waiting for the Friedkins’final approval before making an official offer for Baldanzi. According to Calciomercato.it, Roma are hoping to sign Baldanzi on loan with an obligation to buy, for a fee in the region of €13-15 million. Baldanzi has played 14 Serie A games for Empoli so far this season, and despite injuries towards the end of 2023, he scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Juventus on Saturday evening.
