Roma have officially announced the arrival of Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Giallorossi have reportedly agreed a loan deal with a €12 million purchase option with the Bundesliga side, adding a key reinforcement to Jose Mourinho’s front line. Roma have been on the hunt for a new centre-forward for months now following the serious injury suffered by Tammy Abraham, and are also working on a deal for Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku. The Roman side today officially announced Azmoun’s arrival with a stylish video, confirming that the 28-year-old will wear the number 17 shirt in the Italian capital. Azmoun is Roma’s sixth summer signing, following in the footsteps of Evan Ndicka, Houssem Aouar, Renato Sanches, Leandro Paredes and Rasmus Kristensen.
