Sky Sport Italia claims that Roma defender Roger Ibanez has agreed personal terms with Al-Ahli and completed a €30 million transfer, despite interest from Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
The central defender has been on the market all summer, and his sale would give them the funds they need to find a new striker. There had been rumours in recent days that Nottingham Forest had made an offer, and that Aston Villa had also been mentioned as showing interest in the Brazilian international. According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ibanez has now agreed personal terms with Al-Ahli for a move to the Saudi Pro League. Although an agreement hasn’t yet been reached with Roma, this shouldn’t pose too many problems.
